Transport Coordinator(s) – receive calls from hospice, gather information on pet and owner, contacts foster coordinator to determine availability of foster home, uses phone tree to contact transport volunteer.   Keeps record of activities.

Transport volunteers

  • pick up pet from patient's home & takes photo of pet sends to webmaster
  • transport pet to and from vet for shot(s)
  • transport pet to foster family
  • transport pet to and from hospital to visit with owner
Text Box: Pet Fostering

Foster Coordinator(s ) – receive calls from transport coordinator(s), use phone tree to find pet temporary home with Pet Guardians foster network. Keeps record of activities.

Foster families – provide temporary shelter for pet until permanent placement.

Text Box: Pet Adoption

Adoption Coordinator(s) – screens applications, checks vet references and contacts prospective pet owners.   Coordinates pick up with foster families. Keeps record of activities.

Volunteers are always needed to assist with fundraising events and activities.   Ideas are always welcome!
